Lilian Orton
B.Physio (honours)
Physiotherapist
Lilian Orton is a dedicated paediatric physiotherapist with extensive experience supporting children across specialist school, clinic, and community settings. After graduating from Monash University with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy, she began her career at Nepean Specialist School, working within a multidisciplinary team to support children with physical disabilities, complex health needs, and developmental challenges. It was here that she developed strong foundations in equipment prescription, early motor development, and functional mobility training.

Eager to broaden her experience, Lilian went on to join a private community paediatric clinic with a neurological focus where she independently managed a large and diverse caseload. Her clients have ranged from babies with plagiocephaly and torticollis to children with high support needs, developmental delays, and cerebral palsy. She brings particular strengths in gross motor assessment, early intervention, family education, and supporting children to work toward meaningful goals while having fun along the way.

Lilian is passionate about building strong, collaborative relationships with families, educators, and other health professionals. She believes that children thrive when therapy is engaging, purposeful, and tailored to their interests. She places high value on helping each child experience meaningful gains in confidence, independence, and participation in their everyday environments.

Committed to ongoing learning, Lilian has completed a wide range of professional development including courses in paediatric gait analysis (Shirley Ryan Academy), postural management, cerebral palsy-specific physiotherapy, equipment prescription and neurodevelopmental therapy approaches. She is experienced in administering the HINE, AIMS, Bayley Scales, Challenge-CP and Movement ABC assessments.
Now based in Melbourne’s western suburbs, Lilian continues to bring enthusiasm, compassion, and evidence-based practice to every child and family she supports.
